My stay at The White House By Bodacious was disappointing overall. While the location was decent, I experienced several issues like an uncomfortable bed and insufficient cleaning services. It was sad to see a place that once had charm deteriorate like this.

Rooms
5.0
The room was not well-maintained, as the bed was uncomfortable and the mattress base was collapsing. I ended up having to place the mattress on the floor for better comfort. Furthermore, the bathroom felt cramped, and I didn’t find it particularly appealing.
Service
5.0
The service left much to be desired, as I encountered problems with my room upon arrival but was unable to reach anyone for assistance. With no staff on site and phone messages going unanswered, it was quite frustrating.
Location
6.0
The location is somewhat favorable with its proximity to various attractions in Swansea. It’s within walking distance of parks and local amenities, which I appreciated, but it didn't make up for the other issues I faced during my stay.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, there was no breakfast offered during my stay, which was a stark contrast to previous experiences at similar accommodations. This aspect really diminished the overall impression of the hotel, especially for the rates being charged.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed to have suffered from neglect, as there were no elevators and the common areas felt cramped since they were converted into additional guest rooms. It lacked the appeal and quality I was expecting.

5.6/10

My stay at The White House was a mixed bag. The cleanliness and decor were impressive, but the comfort level of the room left much to be desired, especially with the noisy plumbing and cold atmosphere. I appreciated the value for the price, though the noise from other guests disrupted my sleep. Overall, it could use a bit more attention to detail.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and nicely decorated, but the slats on the bed fell through, and the plumbing noise was quite disruptive. The temperature was inconsistent and made for an uncomfortable stay. 🛏️
Service
6.0
The staff was friendly, but there was a noticeable lack of presence at check-in. Although they were responsive to issues when raised, the initial welcome felt lacking. 🤷
Location
8.0
The location is convenient with restaurants and local amenities nearby, but it's a bit tricky to find without precise directions. It’s near various attractions, which is a plus.
Dining
8.0
I had a good experience dining with a discount at Brewstones; the breakfast was excellent and set me up for the day, although I didn’t explore much else in the area.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were standard, with some nice touches like tea and coffee in the room, but some details like vacuuming could be improved. The shower was not reliable in temperature, either.

5.6/10

My stay at The White House was a mixed bag. The location was great, close to Swansea attractions, and the room was spacious and clean. However, I faced several issues with service, including communication problems and noise disturbances. Overall, it had potential, but I didn't leave feeling fully satisfied.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and nicely decorated, but there were some stains on the curtains and shabby carpets. I appreciated the cleanliness though, because it felt tidy upon arrival. However, I did have issues with shower facilities, as the water barely ran and wasn't hot at all.
Service
5.0
I had a tough time contacting a staff member, especially when I needed help checking in. Even when I got inside, there was no one available for assistance. When I raised issues about the shower, the response was lackluster – it felt like they were used to complaints. Some staff were helpful, but it was inconsistent.
Location
8.0
The White House is in a good spot, close to the beach and local restaurants, which I really liked. The on-street parking was manageable since it wasn't peak season, making it easier to find a spot near the hotel.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed breakfast at Brewstones, where I used a 25% discount voucher. The meal was delicious – they even catered for a vegetarian option without prior notice, which was a nice touch.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities were decent, but I wished there were more staff on site to help with my queries. There were some basic comforts, like tea and coffee in the room, which was nice.

7.4/10

My experience at The White House By Bodacious was mixed. I appreciated the clean, warm room and the friendly staff who offered local dining suggestions. However, the check-in process was chaotic, and the room had some maintenance issues, like the shower temperature inconsistency. Overall, it was decent value for the price, but there are improvements to be made.

Rooms
6.0
I had a spacious and tidy room that was spotlessly clean, although there were some issues like a heater that didn't work well and a noisy toilet. The bathroom, however, was well-kept.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly and accommodating, the initial check-in experience left much to be desired, with missing reception during key hours contributing to confusion.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located near local shops, restaurants, and pub options, making it easy to access everything I needed during my stay.
Dining
6.0
I appreciated the discount offered at a nearby restaurant, but the hotel lacked an on-site dining option, which was a downside for me.
Facilities
5.0
Although the hotel had basic tea and coffee facilities in the room, I was disappointed by the lack of room service and other amenities typically found in hotels.

6.2/10

My stay at The White House was a mix of pleasant moments and a few letdowns. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the cleanliness of the rooms stood out. However, I was disappointed with the sudden change in breakfast service and the lack of charm in my assigned room. Overall, there were both highlights and issues that affected my experience.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in room #14, which lacked charm and amenities. It was a smaller room away from the main house, and the heater didn't work, making it uncomfortable during cooler nights. While it was clean and the bed was relatively comfortable, I expected more from my stay.
Service
6.0
The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, particularly one young lady at reception who tried her best to assist me with the heating issue. However, I felt communication could have been more proactive, especially regarding changes like the breakfast.
Location
8.0
The location was great, with easy access to local shops and restaurants, making it convenient to explore Swansea. Bus stops were nearby, providing good transport options to nearby attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was not served at the hotel anymore, which was a huge disappointment. Instead, a leaflet recommended a nearby restaurant, which felt like a poor substitute after expecting such a service. However, my dining experience at Brewstone was enjoyable with a nice discount offered.
